As a Patient of Ductal Carcinoma Insitu Stage 3 Invasive, Agresive HER2 Positive (Breast Cancer)
- Chemotherapy:
- Adriamycin® or Rubex®- Better known as Doxorubicin and commonly called as the red devil
- Pain in the place where the medicine was administered.
- Nausea or vomiting
- Low blood counts. Your red and white blood cells and platelets may temporarily decrease. This can increase your risk of infection, anemia, and / or bleeding.
- Hair loss on the scalp or elsewhere on the body (called alopecia). Most patients lose all or part of their hair during treatment. But your hair will grow back after the treatment is over.
- Crying eyes
- Mouth ulcers
- Urine may appear red, reddish-brown, orange, or pink from the color of the medicine for a day or two after receiving a dose.
- Darkening of the nails.
- Darkening of the skin where previous radiation therapy has been administered.
- Problems with fertility: ability to have children (occurs in approximately 10% of men and women; this should be discussed with our doctor before therapy).
- Taxol (Paclitaxel) – Side effects
- Feeling of tiredness or weakness.
- Upset stomach or vomiting.
- Loose stools (diarrhea).
- Mouth irritation or mouth sores.
- Hair loss.
- Muscle or joint pain.

- Neulesta® (Pegfilgrastim) Injection (During Chimio)
- Rupture of the spleen. Your spleen may become enlarged and ruptured while taking Neulasta®.
- A serious lung problem called acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
- Serious allergic reactions.
- Sickle cell crisis.
- Kidney injury (glomerulonephritis). Neulasta® can cause kidney damage.
- Increased white blood cell count (leukocytosis). S.
- Capillary leak syndrome. Neulasta® can cause fluid to leak from your blood vessels into your body’s tissues. This condition is called “capillary leak syndrome” (CLS). CLS can quickly give you life-threatening symptoms.
- Swelling and urinating less than usual
- Difficulty breathing
- Swelling of the stomach area (abdomen) and feeling of fullness
- Dizziness or feeling faint
- A general feeling of tiredness
- Inflammation of the aorta (aortitis).
- Omaprezole 10mg – For nausea and stomach in combination with others

- Radiation (36) Radiations were administered every day from Monday to Friday for 6 weeks until they were completed. My skin was well burned.
