Only 8 days before the year 2021 begins !!! We continue with our action plan to reach our goals for 2021 and today it’s up to finances!
The financial area – We are all aware that to live and achieve most of the goals that we set ourselves will require a certain amount of money to some extent. This is why we must set financial goals that put us in a more favorable position to achieve the other goals. That is why this financial area needs our attention and dedication to end 2021 successfully.
1. One of the most important goals that all of us should have is to pay off our debts. A life free of debt equates to a life free to do those things we long for like investing in our future and blessing others. We have a video where we explain in more depth what financial freedom is and how to achieve it. Our goal may look something like this; I want to pay off 5 debts in 2021. But how can we put this goal in context? First we must know what our financial condition is and how much money we have to pay our debts. We must also know how much money we owe to creditors. We will choose the smallest debt we have and we will put all that money available to get out of that debt as soon as possible. Then we will use the same method for the next debt online. The most important thing in this goal of paying off debts is that after paying off the debt we do not acquire another one.
2. Another goal we must set ourselves is to save. We all want to have money in savings to achieve some goals that we have in the category of dreams; but generally those goals remain in dreams because we do not have the cash we need to carry them out. It is to be expected that if we have a lot of debts it will be very difficult for us to save extra money and that is why I am going to share two options to make it possible for us to save. First option you can use an automated method through your employer if it offers direct deposit. If you create a savings account in a bank other than the one you use to pay your bills and divide your salary into two direct deposits, one to your regular checking account and one to your separate savings account, you will never see the money in or out, which will make it easier for you to save. Another savings method is the 52-week method. Here we will be providing you with a free printable form where you can use it as a guide and mark what you have saved. This method suggests that you save $ 1 the first week $ 2 the second week $ 3 the third week $ 4 the fourth week and so on; which would save us $ 1,378 at the end of the year … What a Blessing!
3. Increase my income – If we are people who live with low income we can set the goal of increasing our income. And how can we do this? You will say. It is necessary to see what talents we can use that will help us generate income. For example, during this month of December in my home we have been all month making a typical meal of my country that only the old people knew how to make and I learned from my grandmother and today I make it “cakes and alcapurrias”. Possessing the knowledge and talent to do this has provided a little extra money for my home. If you make cakes, tacos, if you know cosmetology or are a barber, if you are a seamstress; All of these things will help you earn additional income in your home that in turn will help you reach your financial goals.
4. Make one or two months of frozen expenses in the year. This is an excellent idea to increase our savings and reduce our expenses. This plan consists of choosing one or two months in the year where you can spend the whole month without making extraordinary expenses; plus paying for our recurring expenses and gas for the car. For example, in a month like this you will cook only what you have in the pantry, you will not spend extra money on additional things. We will sacrifice without going out to eat out, we will not spend on clothes, shoes or any other trivial expense. We will only do things that are free. This is a small sacrifice that could help us to pay off some debt.
5. Bless a ministry. The Bible clearly teaches us that there is blessing and multiplication in giving to others. This is why we must practice generosity in our lives, even if it is little. This year one of our goals in our ministry is to build our orphanage in Uganda Africa where we have around 160 children and 60 widows. This ministerial dream also resides in my personal heart so we will be working hard to bless these children in Africa. You can bless a ministry in your local church or you can pray to God for guidance in where you can contribute to expand God’s open here on earth.
We pray to God as the scripture says: “Beloved, I want you to prosper in all things, and to have health, just as your soul prospers.”
